That biological mass that burst forth from Karim Najeeb is rapidly propagating throughout the SHIELD Helicarrier ... while Iron Man and his black ops team continue their scuffle against the bio-tech "zombies" in China. As the Chinese military is alerted to the situation, IM and team have to skeedaddle ASAP. Once back on the Helicarrier, Iron Man quickly runs out of options when dealing with the macabre bio-mass! Sadly, the monstrosity has killed Sal Kennedy and Tony and Maya Hansen realize that only Extremis can thwart it! Thus, Tony "unarmors" and lets the monstrosity "absorb" him. The plan works: Tony's Extremis "kills" the wildly expanding growth. At issue's end we see Dr. Hansen (who apparently was persuaded by the US government to continue her work on Extremis for them) being greeted by the head of "Prometheus Gentech Inc." -- none other than (you guessed it!) the Mandarin!! One thing's for sure: This Mandy business set-up sure is a lot more convincing than when Mandy became head of the Stark employees union! (See IM vol. 1 #57! )
